The Relay
Released in 2022, this tenor sax-piano-bass-drums band recorded eight originals by Dan and pianist Michael Eckroth, and one standard ballad. The tunes shared an overall emphasis on melodic and structural directness, eschewing wrought complexity in favor of material that allows for immediate connection and expression.

Hymn for the Happy Man
Released in 2016, This is Dan’s first album with the instrumentation of sax-piano-bass-drums. The album features seven original compositions by Dan, and one arrangement of Kurt Weill’s “Speak Low.”

Toe The Line
Released in 2010, this is the second album from the organ quartet, with the same members since the band’s inception almost ten years earlier. This album was all about building on a good formula: combining lyrical melodies with complex yet elegant angular rhythmic structures to create music that evolves and enables spirited expression and interplay.
